Internship Application Principles
In the Department of Information Systems and Technologies of Muş Alparslan University, there is a 30-day compulsory summer internship practice after the 4th semester, which is 30 working days. The internship application principles of the Department of Information Systems and Technologies are based on the Compulsory Internship Directive of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. Announcements of the Faculty of Applied Sciences on the subject should be followed.
Each class should act under the guidance of their own counsellor in all procedures related to the internship. Any problems should be solved with the counsellor first.
Purpose of Internship:
Various gains are aimed for Information Systems and Technologies students to do internship. These objectives, which are given below, will enable our students to get to know the business environment before they graduate, to be involved in the realisation of real life projects related to their profession, to draw appropriate goals for themselves and to take steps towards these goals.
Recognising the business environment and preparing for business life.
Students translate the theoretical knowledge acquired at the university into practice.
Seeing and examining the realisation stages of the projects in which the Software Engineer is involved on site by the student and, if possible, actively involving the student in the project.
The student gains the ability to communicate and express himself/herself correctly in the business environment.
To be able to accurately explain and report a technical project carried out by the student.
To educate the student in different technology and working areas that are not included in the courses given at school.
In order for the internship to provide the student with the intended gain, the student is expected to find a suitable internship place that can contribute both technically and socially. The student is required to successfully complete a project that he/she is working on at the internship place and to process this project in the internship report in an appropriate manner and format.
The National Internship Programme is an internship programme organised by the Human Resources Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey. This programme aims to provide university students and recent graduates with work experience by offering internship opportunities in public and private sectors. University students and recent graduates studying in Turkey can apply to the programme. It is aimed to improve the skills of the intern candidates and to better determine their career paths.
The features of the programme are as follows:
Application Process: Candidates can apply through the official website of the Presidential Human Resources Office or through the Career Gateway platform. Applications are usually opened in spring and evaluated according to certain criteria.
Placement: Applicants are directed to various institutions according to their profiles, the fields they want to do internship in and their educational background. Public and private sector organisations accept interns according to their own quotas and criteria.
Internship Process: If accepted to the programme, interns gain practical experience by working in the relevant institution or business for a certain period of time. Mentoring support and trainings are also provided in this process.
Certificate of Participation: Candidates who successfully complete the internship process are given a certificate of participation at the end of the programme. This document can be shown as internship experience in future job applications.
The programme aims to increase the opportunities for students and new graduates to put their theoretical knowledge into practice, experience business life and network.
