Our University Students Strengthened Disaster Awareness with AFAD Training
The students of our university attended the training organised by AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency) on 2-3-4 October 2024 in order to raise awareness and be prepared for disasters, accompanied by our esteemed Dr. Lecturer Ali ÖZDEMİR. Within the scope of the training, they had comprehensive information about the measures to be taken against natural disasters, the correct behavioural patterns at the time of disaster and the first interventions to be made after the disaster.
This training, which was presented by AFAD experts, provided our students with both theoretical and practical information and equipped them against disasters. The training emphasised the precautions to be taken especially for natural disasters such as earthquakes, fires and floods. In addition, students had the opportunity to do practical work on how to act during and after disasters.
Acting with the awareness of social responsibility, our university supports our students to grow up as more conscious and prepared individuals in the face of disasters. Thanks to such trainings, it is aimed that our students both ensure their own safety and acquire knowledge and skills that can benefit their environment.
