‘Bilginin Ötesinde’ Programme was held at Muş Alparslan University
The ‘Bilginin Ötesinde’ programme, organised in cooperation with our university, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Muş Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports and UNIDES, was held at 1071 Malazgirt Congress and Culture Centre.
Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Yıldırım, Rector Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yaşar, Secretary General Harun Demir and Muş Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Mehmet Arif Taşdemir, who made the opening speech at the event attended by many academic staff and students, expressed his satisfaction for being a stakeholder of such an organisation. Stating that they are happy to contribute to all the activities of the university and that they will continue to support from now on, Taşdemir thanked everyone who contributed.
The first speaker of the day, sports announcer and journalist Bilgehan Demir, talked about his own education process, the importance of making the right choice and how acting by realising one's abilities has shaped his life. He shared his inspiring memories with the students by explaining how the vision of a teacher who touched his life was a turning point in his life. She also detailed her transition to a career as an announcer. Drawing attention to the importance of behaving ‘normally’ rather than being neither a ‘good’ nor a ‘bad’ person throughout life for success, Demir emphasised the critical role of communication in this process.
Strategic counsellor and author Selim Geçimli, on the other hand, discussed the ways of coping with evil, manipulation and peer bullying in his speech. Geçimli emphasised the law of similarity and the importance of finding common points in human relations and conveyed the individual and social benefits of healthy communication to the students.
